The Weekly Update - Did Someone Say Fight Club?

First of all, this week we’re firing up the Events page here on the website, and have posted all the details on our Spring fundraiser for the Hero Initiative! If you haven’t heard of it yet, be sure to take a look at how you can help out a great cause.

Now, a couple books of note this week!

Fight Club 3 #1

The sequel to the most unexpected sequel ever has arrived! In here we find out what Tyler Durden does when….he has kids?
I’ll make no bones about it, I’m a huge fan of Chuck Palahniuk’s work, my personal favorite book of his being Survivor. It also helps that Chuck is a really nice guy in person and a HUGE supporter of the local book store scene. Which is why we have all of THIS amazing stuff to give away! Those copies of Legacy, Fight Club 2, and Adjustment Day are all signed by Chuck Palahniuk, and all you need to do is come in and add Fight Club 3 to your pull and pick up the first issue this week, and you could score any of them! We’ll pull winner’s names on Monday February 4th, so be sure to swing in this week and give this book a try.

Amazing Spider-Man #14

I haven’t read this issue as I type this, but really, I’m just pointing out this book because I love Ryan Ottley’s art. I also love Chris Bachalo’s art, so this is a no brainer for me. I loved Invincible by Robert Kirkman and became hooked on Ottley’s art as a result of that book, and I really enjoy seeing his style in the Marvel Universe on a book where his art feels like a perfect fit. If you aren’t checking out Amazing Spider-Man at the moment, you should do yourself a favor and change that.
