Free Comic Book Night 2022 is Coming!

Today More Fun Comics and Games is thrilled to announce the return of Free Comic Book Night in 2022!

While we had planned to do so back in 2020, there were some….roadblocks that got in the way. But we’re back this year with some changes for our seventh Free Comic Book Night event.

This year, Free Comic Book Night will be a pub crawl throughout Downtown Denton!

After filling Oak Street Drafthouse for several years, we’re expanding the scope and the fun! Several popular downtown establishments will be putting on special events, with special free comics at each stop. We’ll be providing more details in upcoming announcements, but first, we need your help!

We’re teaming up with our friends at The Bearded Monk to host an art auction to benefit the Denton Animal Support Foundation.

Starting today at More Fun Comics and Games, the first 36 people to ask can drop in and pick out a blank cover comic from our special inventory at no charge. We’re asking our local community to come up with cover designs that we will then auction off via a raffle at The Bearded Monk!

Take the book home, then draw, paint, or sketch on the cover. Bring the book back to us, and we’ll be hanging them all at The Bearded Monk for Free Comic Book Night and Free Comic Book Day. Visitors will be able to buy tickets to enter raffle drawings for each piece. Then we’ll do a livestream drawing for each book to give them away to lucky winners! All money donated will go to the Denton Animal Support Foundation!

Entry books must be submitted to More Fun Comics and Games by end of business on May2nd.
