Preorders at More Fun Comics and Games Website Overview

Hi everyone! How is that for a thrilling blog post title?

Let’s get right to it. The new More Fun Comics and Games website will not only have our live real time inventory, but will also allow customers to preorder specific comics they’re looking for when our orders are due! Each week, the publishers give us the final data on the week’s orders at approximately Noon on Friday. Our orders for those are due on Sunday. At More Fun, we will aim to have the weekly preorders up by 1pm on Friday, with an order cutoff of Noon on Sunday so we have time to collate and file the orders. When you go to the website, you’ll see a menu at the top for Weekly Preorders. You can click on that and see the entire list of preorders in one large pool, or you can click the drop down arrow to search by publisher. We’ve added all the major publishers, but if you have a request for a specific publisher or group you’d like to have access to in the menu, let us know! Adding more at this point is a pretty simple task.

When ordering comics, if you already have a pull for a series with us, you DO NOT need to preorder those books. For example, if you have a pull for Ultimate Spider-Man Cover A each issue, you do not need to order that in the weekly orders. However, if you see a cover B or C that you like, this is where you can order it and let us know. If you do so and want that cover instead of your normal cover A, just let us know in order notes or email us directly.

In most cases, single issue comics will not require prepayment in advance, but you can do so if you like. Graphic novels and items over $25 in price may require prepayment, we’ll let you know if that’s the case. If you don’t want to prepay, just mark the box that says pay at pickup and checkout. If you are using the Shop App to check out, at the bottom of the list of your payment options will be a link to Alternative Methods. Click on that and the option to pay at pickup will appear.

”But wait, Tim, I’m not into comics, I’m into games, what about me?” We’ve got you covered!
You will also see a link at the top for Gaming Preorders, there will be a drop down menu there sorting game preorders by type. Preorders for games will be required to provide payment up front. One of the most exciting things about this is our ability to finally take preorders on Kickstarter games! When we see a project we like and back it, we’ll make it available to preorder direct from us! While every campaign is different, we expect to be able to offer all stretch goal items, and will provide a discounted price to anyone who orders a Kickstarter game from us.
